Canoa Ranch Master Plan and Historic Preservation
The landmark ranch headquarters has high historic significance and integrity. Structures range from about 1900 to about the mid-1940’s and trace a transition from traditional Sonoran row-house vernacular to innovative architect designed early ranch style. The ongoing preservation efforts have so far included the preparation of assessments of the ten primary structures along with design and construction of improvements to five adobe structures and extensive earthen compound walls.
In 1998 the City of Tucson purchased the Union Pacific Railroad Depot (formerly the Southern Pacific Depot). Soon after, the City formed a task force to look at all previous circulation, parking and land use studies and determined the best use for the depot, the outbuildings on the depot site, and the surrounding properties. This effort resulted in a master plan for the area.

at five and ten years out. The last comprehensive
Master Plan in for the site was completed in 1985.
Tucson High School Gymnasium Complex
The Tucson High School Gymnasium Complex consists of a new 8,000 sf practice gym, an extensive restoration and renovation of the existing historic gym, and a new, low profile parking structure. This project is currently under construction with an estimated completion date of August 2010, in time for the fall semester.
Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center
The 20,000 square foot facility houses needed programs for toddlers, youth, teens, and seniors and art and leisure programming for the entire neighborhood. And, importantly, it also serves as a community center, crossroads and meeting place. The campus of four buildings surrounds a central desert oasis courtyard, with dappled light filtering through the overhead tensile fabric shade structure. All primary spaces look into the courtyard through full height glass curtain walls, with support spaces around the outside
The planned downtown Intermodal Depot is a 15,000 sf mixed use facility to be constructed immediately to the northwest of the Historic Depot. The first floor of the Depot would serve as Tucson's Greyhound bus station, the upper floors are leasible office space.
La Paloma Family Services Campus
The La Paloma Foster Care Resource Center is comprised of four new buildings on a previously undeveloped site at the corner of Miracle Mile and Fairview Rd. The campus is home to a 6,900 Square Foot administrative office building, a 2,000 SF Conference/Training facility, and a 4,800 Square Foot group home. Site development includes parking, courtyards, play areas and other outdoor spaces.
Blanche Johnson Courtyard Housing
Blanche Johnson Courtyards is a 69-unit independent living senior housing rental community planned as part of the Silver lake Park and Quincie Douglas Community Center, Pool, and Library development at 36th Street and Kino Boulevard. The project consists of one-bedroom units clustered in groups of eight around landscaped community courtyards. The site also has several community buildings including a laundry, library, and clubhouse as well as a maintenance shop and management offices.
